1.
first song i put on soundcloud with my voice surprisingly got a bit of likes i made this right before moving out of my dorm and didn't have my audio interface so i used garageband on my phone to do harmonies and drums
2.
i really didn't feel like going to my annual cleaning
3.
dcc coupling 05:31
i'm really bad at organic chemistry but i made this to study for an exam that required me to know the mechanism of a dcc coupling reaction apparently it makes esters or amides from carboxylic acid
4.
wrote this one in a quicky in my dorm room after having a writer's block crisis and giving up on the song i was actually trying to write
5.
ummm this is a sadboy song, kind of cliche
6.
told you 00:58
another one written off rip while my roommate was gone and allowed to sing out loud, pretty fun but hey it uses emo chords like maj9s and shitty attempts to add riffs in-between staccato chords
7.
a track i made on ableton, pretty early in the stage of learning how to use it
8.
a good summation of what it's like to be a skateboard poser
9.
endlessly 01:13
the first real original song i made, which is really sad and cliche and is about being alone and stuff i made this in my freshman year
10.
i find it funny how reddit works as a hivemind and pushed the whole sweet victory superbowl thing, which inevitably never worked out fully, but i'm still happy it kind of happened
11.
a big indie ukulele song i have big glasses and i love rex orange county and pastel colors
12.
modern indie rock is really just spicy surf rock beach boys cosplay and ripped pants is such a great surf rock song so i figured
13.
another cover, but of new order i like joy division better but i didn't feel like covering a song to make me more depressed its an acoustic cover of synth pop new wave stuff
14.
roaches 02:00
i was really in my feelings when i wrote this, but pretty fun to layer and make
15.
i did indeed punch someone in eighth grade we're friends now moral of the story: punch the ppl you want to be friends with
16.
i was getting really tired of the regular office job or just being somewhat responsible in general so i wrote this as an outlet, you know the average quarter life crisis and feeling like you'll never be what you really want to be
17.
so i had this really fun chord progression that used dominant 7 and chromatic thingys but i couldn't write good lyrics for the life of me, so this is literally a song about not having lyrics for a song, so meta

d.i.(why) 04:05
a love letter to diy music and just trying to be an indie kid between the ages of 14-25, so the usual fake skateboarding, cuffed beanies, and big ukulele energy

about

between summers '18 to '19 i wanted to make music, and i finally did it
i initially wanted only 4-5 songs but now here we are with 18

the earlier songs were made before I knew how to use a DAW so it's very lofi and mostly acoustic guitars and ukes for diy points
the later songs were after i got ableton, little more complex

consider this as a "dump album" demo kind of thing, an idea i borrowed from Sidney Gish's "don't call on me" and "dummy parade", which are both amazing projects that inspired me to do something like this. so, yeah, thanks sidney!

song descripts in the lyrics

hurray music you guys should do it too even if its bad just put it out
